Are we all so caught up in the “market conditions” aspect of today’s real estate market that we forgotten the basics? The first two weeks a home is on the market is when it gets the most attention. Seller should have their home ready to view and sell when it first hits the market. This includes de-cluttering, refreshing, access and commitment. What does this mean? I like to use the phrase “we don’t sell our homes like we live in them”.
Today’s home buyer’s are looking for “value” when buying home. What is the perceived “value” of your home? Is it that it “doesn’t need any work” or is it “competitively priced” . Today’s homebuyers often fall into two categories, first time buyers and investors. Each is looking for “value” and neither wants to spend extra money when they buy a home.
